Actor James Wilder drops by to discuss his new film 3 Holes and a Smoking Gun, a fascinating thriller about screenplay mania. Wilder excels as a duplicitous, washed-up Hollywood screenwriter in this unusual indy gem. The Red Dirt International Film Festival named Wilder Best Lead Actor for his performance, and the film also won the prestigious Grand Jury Prize at the same festival as well as Best Screenplay honors at L.A.’s Downtown Film Festival and Best U.S. Narrative Film of 2014 at the Laughlin International Film Festival. Wilder portrayed an ambitious lawyer in TV’s Equal Justice, a drug-dealing seducer in “Melrose Place,” and a demonic serial killer in the acclaimed movie Murder One.

His other film and TV credits  include: Scorchers, Perfume, Mind Games, Man of the Year, Flypaper, Nevada and The Coriolis Effect. Bitten by the showbiz bug early, Wilder was performing his one-man show in Paris at the age of 14. Later, he studied at New York’s famous Actors Studio and appeared in Broadway’s Sugar Babies as well as with Ed Asner in the ABC Theater presentation Cracked Up. Wilder’s artistic interests go beyond the realm of acting. He is also a creative architect and designer.
